Yes You Can!
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is an emerging field in which
horses are used as a tool for emotional growth and learning.
It is experiential in nature which allows people to learn
about themselves and others by participating in activities
with horses and then discussing feelings, behaviors, and
patterns.

Non-verbal communication, assertiveness, creative
thinking, problem-solving, leadership, responsibility,
teamwork, relationships, confidence, and attitude are
several examples of the tools utilized and developed by
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. It is a powerful and
effective therapeutic approach that has an incredible impact
on individuals, youth, families, and groups.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy addresses a variety of human
development needs including behavioral issues, attention
deficit disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse
issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and
communication needs.

"Working with Faith Deeter has been a true blessing in my
life.  I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well,
and have been working on myself for more than 20 years.
I have worked with some of the finest, most gifted
therapists in southern California, and have had tremendous
results.

This past year, I had a painful situation arise with one of
my grown daughters—one that seemed familiar in nature,
and at the same time, hopeless that it would ever change.
My former therapists were very compassionate and
supportive, but they had run out of possible solutions.

When I talked to Faith about it, without missing a beat, she
confidently knew exactly what to do.  She told me about
Natural Horsemanship, and described how it helped her
completely transform her relationship with her horse.  It
was amazing to me how similar her feelings experienced
with her horse were to the feelings I experienced with my
daughter.  She gave me very specific guidelines for turning
a very painful situation into one where I felt empowered
and hopeful.  Faith explained that she has found the
principles of Natural Horsemanship to be very useful in
relationships between people, and she has applied them
successfully with many of her clients.

I found that these principles were incredibly helpful in my
relationship with my daughter, especially when all else had
failed.  Faith’s ability to help me move my experience from
pain to empowerment was nothing short of astounding,
even to this day.  I will always be grateful to her, and I am
looking forward to learning more about Natural
Horsemanship and what we can take from it to improve
our own lives.

Whether you work with Faith as a therapist or as a coach,
it will be like having your own personal cheerleader!  No
one will work harder to help you find your solutions to
achieving your goals, and she will be cheering you on every
step of the way.  I feel so lucky to have her in my life, and I
believe you will, too."
